Update from Stella’s Mum

Stella is proving to be a real fighter once again! The last few days of the first round of antibodies have been exhausting with neither of us getting much sleep at all. She receives a “batch” of antibodies infused throughout the day and then it is a waiting game, wondering which side effect will happen [...]

Update from Stella’s Mum

The picture below is Stella trying to play with Mr Potato Head (in the foreground) but is feeling just too exhausted and sick. The amount of supportive medication stacked onto a single drip pole is all being infused into her through the tubes in her chest (Hickman line). Although it is terrible to see her [...]

Update from Stella’s Mum

The reporter interviewed me and shot [...]

Update from Stella’s Mum

Stella’s last result, her bone marrow biopsy and trephines came back as clear, so we now know that we can start with the immune stimulating injections on Monday. I have to be taught how to do this so that I can administer the medication.
This is the snowiest winter in Philadelphia since records began in 1884. [...]
